Atlassian is the shining star of Australia’s start-up sector, growing by around 40% every year. It was our job to design environmental graphics that celebrate Atlassian’s incredible clients in a historic corridor stretching the length of the building.

We designed a huge mural to pay tribute to Atlassian’s 50,000+ clients, pixelated to reflect the digital nature of their business. Over 5,000 squares were painstakingly measured and positioned by hand: a giant purple dragon represents Atlassian’s gaming clients, a giant Mars rover is a reference to NASA. Atlassian was so committed to protecting the building’s historic features that our designs had to be temporary. After an extensive search, we chose Yupo Synthetic Suction Paper stock, an ingenious paper that uses static suction to stay in place but can also be removed easily, and reused. This project was a Finalist at the 2017 AGDA Awards.
