Kaoru is a concept-driven design practitioner and an experiment-led researcher who creates distinctive, versatile and user-friendly designs. Integral to her work is her multicultural perspective, and a passion for creating designs that transcend culture. Originally from Japan, she moved to Australia to complete a Bachelor of Design (Honours) at the University of New South Wales. She joined BrandCulture as an intern in 2019, and today, she continues to support our senior design team across branding, experiential graphic design and wayfinding projects. Kaoru’s designs are distinctive and user-friendly, while her wayfinding documentation is always meticulously detailed, inspired by a fascination with how people explore and interact with space.
