Brief
In October 2015, a new bus network began operating within the Sydney CBD – and over one million customers needed to be informed and ready for the change. TfNSW engaged BrandCulture to develop signage to assist commuters during the transition period, helping them navigate the largest CBD transport network changes in over 30 years.
Solution
We conducted city-wide audits of over 200 bus stops and CBD train stations, and developed a wayfinding kit of parts detailing sign messages, artwork for final fabrication and installation of over 400 signs – all within a six-week period. Our distinctive wayfinding system provided contextual information (mapping, services and timetables), directions and circulation transitions, and was highly effective in informing commuters of the new routes.
