Queensland Gas Company (part of British Gas Group) is one of Australia’s leading natural gas explorers and producers. It gave BrandCulture the challenge of creating an informative, elegant environment that explains the benefits of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the new Queensland Gas Company control centre, aka ‘The QGC Hub’ in Brisbane.
Solution
QGC’s brand story starts the moment you walk out of the lift into a lobby framed by a bright yellow Corian-fabricated ribbon, which represents the gas pipeline extending from Surat Basin to the Curtis Island production plant. In the breakout space, the magnitude of the company’s projects suddenly become apparent where a massive mirrored wall is overlayed with a giant map of Queensland identifying drill sites and pipelines across the state. The story continues in the main workspace, where GGC's export market is represented by recessed orange “gas bubbles”, while chromed pins pierce the high gloss white walls in a bespoke typographic treatment.
