BRIEF
BrandCulture were engaged to help deliver an integrated wayfinding system for Stages 3 & 4 of a major redevelopment at Dubbo Base Hospital. This included a combination of new purpose-built infrastructure along with an upgrade of existing facilities including a relocated Emergency Department, the new innovatory Western Cancer Centre and parking amenities.
SOLUTION
BrandCulture identified the need for a holistic wayfinding approach in order to provide clarity for all user groups. An extensive site audit informed a site-wide signage strategy - guided by a series of best practice wayfinding principles - we proposed and implemented key recommendations. These recommendations included the need to modify and extend, across the entirety of the site, the existing signage suite developed for Stages 1 & 2. We adopted colour and naming as key wayfinding elements to assist users by establishing and identifying regions, plus formally identifying all parking facilities to simplify wayfinding messages at key vehicular decision points.
