Brief
Sydney Water’s Potts Hill Reservoir has supplied Sydney with drinking water for well over 100 years. We were given the task of celebrating the site’s heritage and honouring those who devoted their lives to creating impressive feats of engineering, which to this day supply water in a landscape that can be harsh and unforgiving.
Solution
Environmental graphics add a real sense of humanity and history to the site, while our wayfinding concept is based on a system of dams that feed into Potts Hill Reservoir, which in turn distribute every last drop of Sydney’s water needs. This project won a Merit Award at the 2012 SEGD Awards for its innovative approach to heritage graphics and wayfinding.
