A few of the BrandCulture team will be packing their suitcases this winter and heading for the glamorous beaches of Miami, where the 2017 SEGD Conference is running from 8th to 10th June – if you’re interested in experience design, you should join us!
The Society of Experiential Graphic Design is famous for hosting events that don’t feel like traditional conferences. SEGD’s events are all about experiencing different cities around the world to discover emerging trends in experiential design.
The SEGD Conference is also the only annual conference designed especially for creatives working in Experiential Graphic Design, so this year we’re sending Stephen Minning, Leigh Tinkler and Julian Frood to get inspired and rub shoulders with other leading design professionals.
The first keynote session is inspired by the host-city, after which delegates will spend the afternoon in intimate group tours exploring Miami’s best projects and studios. Then, everyone comes together Thursday evening for the President’s Reception – and we hear that people in Miami know how to throw a party.
The hard work begins on Friday at NEXPO, where we’ll soak up the latest materials and technologies influencing experiential design, with more keynote speakers and workshops on Saturday that promise to push attendees “to their creative limits”.
That night, SEGD will announce the winners of the 2017 SEGD Global Design Awards.
We’ve attended several SEGD conferences and always learn so much from them. If you’re thinking of attending too, check out this year’s program here
SEGD has helpfully prepared this letter to share with your boss explaining “why you should send me to the 2017 SEGD Conference”. It’s compelling stuff – your boss won’t be able to say ‘no’, and if you register before 30 April, you’ll even get an early bird discount.
